STITCHES!!!!!!!

Well... actually have something to post about! Ethan got his first stitches last night. We were playing outside with all the neighborhood kids & he was riding a tricycle and got half-way up a some-what slanted driveway an d I guess got turned around too quick, came flying down the hill & ran right into the tailgate of a truck... It was AWFUL! We hurried him off the to ER and before we even got to the car he had stopped crying but the damage looked awful!! lol At first it looked like he had knocked out a tooth but once cleaned out there was only about an inch long gash in the chin... no missing or chipped tooth. Very thankful for that!! He ended up having to get 6 stitches to put him back together. Anyway... I'll post a pic. He is doing good. Going to have the stitches for a week & we have to take him back Sunday to have them taken out.

Boring For Now

Not much has been going on in our life. Ethan is finally not sick. lol We're crossing our fingers it's going to stay this way. The weather is just driving us CRAZY!!! Goes from 84 one day to 34 degrees the next day... ONLY IN ARKANSAS!!!! I'm ready for it to be warm... NOT hot... but warm. OH... I got my own office at work... YAY!!! I was out in the middle of a lobby but now I have my own space! I'm loving it. On one of those warm days this past weekend Kyle & I took Ethan to the park for the first time of this year. We went several times last year & he has so much fun. It took us forever to get him to leave. Ladies don't forget Duck Duck Goose this weekend. Mom & I are going to be there at 7:00 tomorrow morning when the doors open. This is the only way Ethan gets a good amount of clothes for the summer. lol I love Duck Duck Goose & it is a HUGE blessing for us!! Well... I know this is a boring update but we honestly haven't had anything going on... Hope all is well with everyone!! Have a good weekend!

February Update

Hey guys!! Hope everyone has had a good February! Can't believe it's already almost over! Well... we had all finally got over our sickness but now it seems to be back. lol Ethan started his coughing & runny nose again this weekend & Kyle has some kind of crud that's making him cough. Luckily I'm still good... Hopefully will stay that way. I had a good birthday & Valentine's day. Kyle & I did get to get out of town... YAY!! We went to Tunica and played at some casino's... lost WAYYYYYY too much money but it was still fun... Then we went to Memphis & done a few things there before we decided to come home. I had a long weekend away from work so that was nice too. I was off for 4 days straight! VERY NICE!! It was nice to get away with just the two of us. Everyone needs that every so often. I will be getting a new niece in a few weeks. Kyle's sister is having another girl... can't wait!! But sad news... See, her husband is in the air force & they are being relocated to England... yeah... across the ocean, England!!!!!!! She will be leaving around June & will be gone for 4 YEARS!!!!! My lil' girls will be all grown by then. Marrissa is about 1 1/2 right now & of course the new baby, Cassidy, will only be a few months old when they leave. It sucks!

Much needed update!!

Wow it has been almost a month since I updated this thing!!!!! I don't even know where to start!!! Ethan is officially 2 now... can't believe it. Time is going by WAY too fast!!! Christmas went great. Ethan got a ton of stuff & still thinks that everything he got came from "Claus". It's not "Santa Claus"... just Claus... lol We had Christmas at our house for the first time with Kyle's family. I guess since we have a new house it's time to start having stuff there. lol It went okay tho... nothing was destroyed. :) We just got us a new puppy. Our last dog got ran over right after Thanksgiving. We got a West Highland Terrier and we named her Sadie. She is soooooooo adorable!!

That... obviously... is a picture of her... She is so good with Ethan already. He just wants to hold her or carry her around all the time. We have to really watch him with her. The month or December and now January has been kind of a sick month for us all. Ethan has allergies real bad & medicine just isn't working for him. I have taken him to the doctor so many times that now they're telling us that if these latest medicines don't work for him they're going to send us to a specialist... yuck... but I'm just ready for them to find something to help him. All he does is cough or blow snot all the time. lol I feel so bad for him. His coughing even gets so bad that he throws up b/c he gets so choked up. It is awful! Well, now I have the crud. I had to take off work yesterday b/c my throat was so swollen I cold barely breathe... today I'm at work but still feel pretty crappy... I'm hoping it goes away soon!!! It sucks!! I hope everyone had a happy new year!! Mine was pretty good. Kyle & I went to our friend's house & had a little party... It was fun. My birthday is coming up... Normally it wouldn't be a big deal but I'm hoping that Kyle & I can get away for the weekend. It's been a while since we have been able to go anywhere by our self so I'm hoping we get to take a trip somewhere... I don't care where... just outside of Saline, Pulaski & Hot Spring counties. lol Anyway... I don't know if this thing makes sense b/c it's been so long but I hope everyone is doing well & I will try to update more often... :)

Yucky Update

Well... my life has turned a weird turn that was TOTALLY unexpected. For those of you who haven't heard Kyle was involved in shooting Sunday night in which he had to kill a suspect who had already stabbed 2 people & was coming after him with the knife. The two who were cut with the knife are going to be okay physically but one could only imagine the pain these three are going to be in mentally for a long time to come. It has made it pretty hard for Kyle & I to lead a normal life right now. We either have people calling us or stopping by the house constantly. Which is great knowing we have so many people who care for us & support what he had to do but I know for me... I would like to have some time with my husband. He, on the other hand, doesn't want to stay at home. I can't say that I blame him tho... He doesn't want to sit at home b/c it just keeps running through his mind over & over. I wish I could help him but I know that the only thing I can do right now is just be there when he's ready to talk and let him come & go as he needs too even tho I really want him at home with me. Anyway, I guess what I need to get at is that we are in desperate need of your thoughts & prayers right now. We both know that everything is going to be okay but it's just going to take us a little bit to get there.

Scared once again...

Halloween is just not a good time of the year for Ethan. I have quickly learned that he is not too fond of it!! lol Last night we took him to the Halloween thing in Benton and not 5 minutes into being there a little boy came past us in a Hulk costume with the green mask on & it scared Ethan & he didn't want anything else to do with walking around by himself. We had to carry him around the whole time!!!!!! He did tell everyone Thank You, which was soooooooo adorable, but he definitely wasn't going to walk by himself. lol Hopefully tonight when we are around family he will do better... :) Hope y'all have a good & safe night tonight!!!!!!!! Scared of Spongebob!!!

Well, I bought this totally cute Spongebob costume off Ebay for Ethan's Halloween costume because he LOVES Spongebob. It's like the only cartoon he will watch. So... I finally get the costume earlier this week & take it home to Ethan & show it to him & he just grins real big. Well then... I try to get him to put it on... HE IS SCARED OF IT & WILL NOT TOUCH IT!! He would literally run from me & not have anything to do with it. I could not believe he was afraid of it!! I had like 3 days until Halloween to figure something out & had no idea what I wanted to do b/c I was looking forward to the Spongebob b/c it is so adorable!!!! lol Anyway... luckily mom works in LR & went to the Halloween store up there & found a Dracula that is like regular clothes except it has a cape on it. I tried it on him last night & it barely fit but it's just going to have to do. lol He wasn't too sure about the cape & vest but the tag was bothering him so hopefully after I have a shirt on underneath it he will be okay. lol HOPEFULLY!!!
